The Holiday Food Basket Project began in 1974. The HFBP takes place one time per year. It serves over 2,000
families. The project provides each family with food for a special holiday
meal and about 2-3 additional weeks. Just under 60% of their budget is
used for this project.
The Holiday Food Basket Project takes place one time per year during the month of December. The food is shipped
from Market Basket in Concord, NH and delivered to the New Hampshire Armory in
Concord. Volunteers participate in assembling the baskets and they are
delivered to the recipients the day before Christmas. The process from
start to finish takes about one week with many hours spent by the volunteers
preparing the baskets.
Here from our volunteers about why they participate in this important project each year.
