Volunteer Opportunities with the Capital Region Food Program

To ensure that every dollar raised goes directly towards the purchase of food, the Capital Region Food Program (CRFP) is committed to operating as an all-volunteer organization. We rely on the generosity, passion, and diverse expertise of our community volunteers to support and sustain our food projects throughout the year.
Our volunteers serve on committees that carry out the critical work needed to fulfill our mission and create meaningful, lasting impact. Each committee is made up of individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds, all working together to support those facing food insecurity within our community.
Current Volunteer Committees:
● Holiday Project Committee – Manages, plans and executes the annual holiday voucher project.
● Year Round Distribution Project Committee – Executes monthly food distribution to our partner agencies through the Year Round Distribution Project.
● Finance Committee – Oversees financial planning, accountability and reporting.
● Development Committee – Leads donor engagement and in-kind service initiatives.
● Marketing & Technology Committee – Communicates CRFP’s impact to the community and oversees digital tools. Seeking support in email marketing, content development, website management, and fundamental tech/digital operations.
If you are interested in contributing your skills and time to one of our
committees, please send us an email to start the discussion. Working together, we can combat hunger within our community.
